need chipset drivers for windows 2000 pro

So I installed Windows 2000 pro as a temporary placeholder for Windows XP until I can reformat again with it. Well, what I need are chipset drivers for my motherboard. I went to Intel's webside and downloaded the correct drivers, yet when I go to install them, they say my operating system in not supported. I need these drivers because my Video Card thinks it's on a PCI bus (rather than agp8x) without these chipset drivers.

iirc, from my 845 board, it's the inf package you want. (For Win 2000, obviously)

Right, that link is to your board. My 845 comment was just because that's the last Intel board I owned, and the chipset drivers were listed as INF on their site. I see an INF in those 865PESO files, too. So, I'm assuming it's the same with yours.

Strangely enough I downloaded the exact same chipset drivers from the same place, and this time it installed. Wierd... I guess you just install all other drivers before the chipset drivers with 2000...

How do you like 2000, btw. I've been considering it for benching and possibly gaming.

Eh, it's decent. It doesn't look as good as Windows XP though, and after all drivers and updates installed, I still get around 120MB memory useage, but that's without any tweaking. For me, it takes 3.08GB of hard drive space after all updates and drivers, nothing else.

Super Pi 1M calculation takes 54 seconds vs 43 seconds in XP. Again, I didn't tweak yet.

I tried skinning Win2000 with Window Blinds once. It didn't work to well. It only skinned parts of things, and you were still left with some of the classic skin.

I use windows 2000 on my laptop at work. Not too much a huge fan, but this is a locked laptop by the GE company so not much I Can do. I can say it feels more secure than XP or Vista.
