Need help choosing a laptop!
I'm looking to upgrade to a new laptop. This laptop would be mainly used for making YouTube videos.
Specifically, for recording console (PS4) gameplay @1080p60 on my Elgato HD60.
I'm then gonna edit in Sony Vegas, and upload to YouTube.
Other than that, the laptop would be used for typing documents in Word for my online classes, and the usual looking around online on Twitter, Facebook, etc

I have a laptop I've been looking at, but need help for specific requirements for exactly what I'm doing to have the best results.
Thanks!

Well, processor matters most then. If you play console and not on PC, then dedicated graphics are irrelevant. Depending on the sheer number of videos and their size, an SSD may not be a wise choice unless you're willing to either buy a laptop with 2 drive slots, or use an external drive for storage with an internal SSD for your OS and software.

What is your budget? Basically for video editing you want an i7.

Probably looking at around $1000 for base quad i7s. I wouldn't go anything less. I know there are some bastard child dual core i7s out there, mostly in Macs, but you'll want a lot of threads so minimum quad for 8 threads.

Might be able to find something under that. Specially with the holiday sales coming.

You'll want to compare benchmarks of the i7s to see what you'll like. Base models tend to be close to 2-2.5Ghz with turbo over 3Ghz. Can honestly tell you I wish I had a little more power in my laptop than the 3610QM it came with. The premium at the time wasn't worth it. But then again, I don't use it often so it's not like I depend on it. For sure if your livelihood depends on it then you might want to look into laptops that start around $2k and come with the higher end i7s.
