Need help finding..

Hey all, I was hoping a few extra sets of eyes could help me locate a good board. What I am looking for specifically is a board that has 2 IDE hookups, a PCI-e, can support DDR2-PC6400, and works with my Core2 Duo E-6400.

I have been looking on the Egg for awhile now and have not found such a beast. I know, I know, ppl will say upgrade to sata, but I have IDE still, and money is tight with being in school full time, and trying to save money for my business.

My price range is $150 and under. Any help will be greatly appreciated! :toast:

get a sata board and possibly get a pci card that allows you too plug in ide drives? i think they make cards like that lol

Thanx for the assist AsRock..but both of those only have 1 IDE plugin.

you can try one of the motherboards that other people have suggested

i would use the ide port on the mother board and then the ide port on this addon card

Your going to be hard pressed to find such a board with 2 ide/pata connectors, that supports core 2 and ddr2, I looked around a bit and didn't come up with anything. As thats an older technology. I'm not saying theirs none out their though, because I honestly don't know but!!!
What you could do is get one of those boards with only one ide and connect your hdds to it and just pick up a cheap 20 dollar Sata Dvd-RW drive.

Thier tons of board that is core2 and ddr2 but if u are saying core2 and ddr2 specifically and not supporting anything else then thats different/

Yes their are tons. But from what I understand he wants TWO,,2,, IDE/PATA connectors. Newer boards only have ONE. And ONE Floppy drive connector.

Nvidia chipset boards usually have 2 IDE connectors, not sure about all of them, but my old asus 650i has two, and the msi 750i i recently built a rig for someone had 2 as well

I think the XFX 750i motherboard had 2 IDE conenctors on it.

Great responses fellas! I have bookmarked many of these finds, and the addon cards are a awesome idea!

I am not too familiar with Asrock ( the mobo, not the member) are they any good? I am wanting to overclock my E-6400. The reason I am upgrading is because my MSI mobo is very unstable.
