Hello guys need help regarding cooling for my Quad Core Rig.

This are my normal temperature ratings without overclocking and i am using stock cooler which sucks really.

As i live in India weather is pretty bad and damn hot out side with temperature reaching 40 degrees and my system runs 24x7 along with Folding@Home and World Community Grid so i am desperately looking for a good cooling system.
My bro lives in US so i can get an aftermarket cooler which is best.

So please guys suggest me the best Cooler for my Q6600 on an Intel MoBo DG33FB.

I am using a Scythe Mugen 2 on a Phenom II 940, so I can't relate to the Q6600, but IMO the Mugen 2 is a beast of a cooler for fairly cheap.

As JATowens mentioned a scythe mugen 2 would be nice... decent price and great cooling ... else a noctua nh-d14 / prolimatech megahalems / venomousX ... expensive but awesome cooling .... :)

The Zerotherm Nirvana (in sig) that I have, used to cool my QX6700 just fine.
Works great on my QX9650 too.

i second(3rd?) to get a xigmatek s1283. not sure bout dark knight as i have the regular version, but it works great for me. I used to use an AC Freezer Pro 7. At 3ghz my q6600 was like 58 load, 38idle. Now with the xig s1283 i run 3.4ghz with 33/34 idle 54 load. lot better

I like MX-2 and MX-3 and OCZ freeze and Shin-Etsu pastes alot... Try the MX-3, you'll like it!

I use AS5 for the last 2 applications and after a yr or so it seems to wear out and temps climb for me. I'm going MX-2 here soon n i'd recommend you do the same.

I use AS Ceramique because it's non-conductive and I'm not the neatest CPU paster. :D

Let us know what your temps are like when you get the new cooler installed !!

Edit : I see that the MX-3 is also non-condctive. I'll have to try that next time.

The Hyper 212+ is cheap and is compatible with many sockets... Else the Scythe Mugen 2 Rev.B?

EDIT: nvm it doesn't. however it does support all current intel sockets with this Xigmatek bracket retention kit.
