And you can program it even soldered on. Have a look here if it’s new to you. Programmer clip-on solutionLooks soldered on.

I haven’t any experience with that solution but it looks straight forward.

OK, learned something new todayBIOS chip is Winbond W25Q256JVEIQ (25Q256JVEQ), so WSON-8 type.
In case of your motherboard to program it you have to remove it either by:
1). using hot air station (protect everything around with kapton tape, lots of it... then flux.. standard unsoldering/soldering procedure with hot air) or...
2). you can use low melt solder + soldering iron + be extremely careful
My choice would be definitely 1).
CH314A programmer can be used for programming paired with WSON8 adapter, I have both.
NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.9 supports Winbond W25Q256JV series fash chips, not sure about earlier NeoProgrammer versions.
SOP8 clip can't be used for WSON-8 type flash chips.
im forced to do one of these 2 solutions ? (i have only one ch341a kit)BIOS chip is Winbond W25Q256JVEIQ (25Q256JVEQ), so WSON-8 type.

ty for the reply it was useful
this is all i haveNot sure if BIOS chip on MSI MEG Z490I UNIFY can be programmed some other way (USB FlashBack?) but in your case, because how BIOS chip is positioned on motherboard, unsoldering from motherboard is the only way if you want to use CH314A for programming.
I would recommend you to take motherboard to local reputable electronics repair shop (well equiped mobile phone repair shop will do the job too), ask them to remove BIOS chip using hot air station, solder that one to cheap WSON8 (8x6) to DIP8 adapter like this one, plug it into CH314A, program via NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.9, then another visit to the local electronics repair shop so they can solder back chip to the motherboard.
edit
When you say: "...ch341a kit..." what exactly (any adapters included?) you have with CH314A? Take a close pic of everything you have in that CH314A kit and post pic here.
That's the CH341A SOP8 and SOP16 "starter kit" + clip for SOP8 chips. You need at least (cheapest solution) WSON8 (8x6) to DIP8 adapter I've linked above.this is all i have
je jette les armes as we say in french, i will probably call a service...That's the CH341A SOP8 and SOP16 "starter kit" + clip for SOP8 chips. You need at least (cheapest solution) WSON8 (8x6) to DIP8 adapter I've linked above.
Sometimes that's the best/fastest solution: less time wasted, no nerves wracking, without (much) headache...je jette les armes as we say in french, i will probably call a service...
