Need help understanding what a jumper cable is.

Well i have posted a seperate link in the graphics card section and if you can take a look at it. But i need to know whats a jumper cable for a mother board look like and if i had a video card which would ihave to switch if at all neccessary. Please and Thankyou

well jumpers and jumper caps are just small wires that come out of the motherboard that are meant to be shorted out to tell hardware what to do. The jumper caps short them out, and you do need them for new systems if you want to turn things on or off or if you have to reset your BIOS. I think you mean jumpers because I only know of jumper cables for cars.

ya they are just little things that u can cahange well some of them but as amdcam said u can do lots of things with them like resating your bios and other cool things
