all of it looks fine, except the PSU.

grab a reputable brand like OCZ, antec, corsair or seasonic.
the PSU is one area you do NOT want to skimp out on, especially with a relatively power hungry card like a 4870.

A good quality 500W unit will do you fine - cheap/no name PSU's cant guarantee the same.

Or FSP Epsilon 500W/Seasonic 500ET?

btw, maybe i can get phenom ii 945, if so, should i go for better PSU that the options that i give in this post?

seasonic is the best there, FSP next.

HEC is a low end PSU brand, many people who post good comments about PSU's have very low end PC's, or would blame other hardware "my PC turns on with a cheap video card but not my new expensive one, my new video card is dead" - often means "my PSU cant handle the bigger card", yet you see comments like that all the time.

i'm not too sure on the phenom II line and their differences (intel guy here).

make sure PSU has active PFC, and good reviews like 5eggs :)
considering your budget, and the fact that you will use it mainly for gaming, i suggest you save on cpu by going with Athlon X4(100$) and invest that saved money into ATI 5850 , i bet you would get a much better gaming performance with this setup then with Ati 4870 and core i5.

How much for the HEC Win 550?

Regarding the 1440x900 comment; Are you going to be moving to a new display anytime in the near future?

Build looks nice IMO, altho you will definitely want to look at a new psu. If you give me a budget for the psu I can look up a couple good ones for you.

Looks pretty good for the most part, you will want a better PSU such as a Corsair VX550 or better, OCZ ModXStream 500w+, OCZ StealthXStream 600w+, or a Seasonic that is 500W or greater. Antec Earthwatts PSUs are also great, anything above 500w would be good. I'm going to have to suggest that you don't get the CM690, I had one and the airflow wasn't too great, the Centurion 590 looks better IMO, and has better airflow. And it's cheaper (at least here in the States). Also, I've always liked Western Digital drives, I've had bad luck with Seagate in the past so I would stay away from them.

Exactly. Never get a cheap PSU, it's a bad idea in the long run

A Phenom II X4 945 is really only going to be useful for things like video encoding, in games the extra core won't help much if at all.

Just because it has 5 eggs doesn't mean that it is good, my friend picked up an Apevia 500w model for $16 because it had 5 eggs. Just because it has 5 egg reviews doesn't mean it's good, I would rather have a 400w Corsair (high quality) than a 600w Apevia/E-Power/PowerMax any day. And he's still using it to power an overclocked quad and an 8800GT

I've been suggesting these power supplies.

Wait, would that not mean the PSU is still working and doing its job? I mean, I completely agree and would never buy or recommend Apevia for anything to anyone.

Since the only 2 major concerns have been addressed, stick with the 720BE for gaming and spend the extra money on a new game.

people will give it 5 stars if they put it in the PC and it works after 2 days - regardless of it blowing up the PC on day 3

Ok guys i have some news..!
I can get SeaSonic 550HT(seasonic 550w), is that good enough?
maybe i can get even phenom II 945 so i need to know if the seasonic 550w will be able to run Phenom II 945+HD4870 with no problems..?

I only see issues if you do heavy overclocking. How much is the psu?

I know, that is why I only read reviews by people who have 6 months and up....but I usually only by good brandnames for my PSU.

On a side note for US customers, I will stand behind the new breed of Rosewill PSU's.
