hey guys. im building a pc with the pc-q08 lian-le mini-itx case and thinking about using the ASUS E45M1-I Deluxe AMD E-450 APU AMD Hudson M1 Mini ITX Motherboard/CPU Combo. it has basically everything i need on that board. just wish it had a better cpu speed from 1.6 to about 2-2.5. can anyone help me figure out the best components i can get for this for the best price?

also feeling to add to it 2 Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 4gb ram and a Zotac (ZT-50301-10M) GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB nVidia GeForce GTX 560 Chipset (822Mhz) 1024MB GDDR5 4000MHz.

well there is already 2 fans that are with the case and the video card has its own fan as well. and the itx is i dont have a lot of room for things in my place and having a mid or a full sizr tower would be too much

What is the cost of this combination? The E450 is nice for a low end system because compared to an intel onboard gfx its a lot stronger, however if you're going to get an Nvidia 560 or any discrete gfx solution, it defeats the purpose of going for an apu, and believe me I have a E350 laptop, the cpu is very weak(equivalent of an atom), any sandybridge cpu will get you a lot more powerful system.

I would take the crappiest i3 21xx over the brazos platform any day if you dont plan to use the gfx part of the E450.

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/core-i3-2100t_7.html#sect0

just a random test to show the difference in cpu power. Check out the rest of that article as it focusses on the kind of system you have in mind. (the E450 is maybe 10-20% more powerful but still very very weak)

If you want to go for an APU look at an AMD A6 or A8.

If i'm reading this totally wrong and the cpu you're planning to use is not an E450, then nvm anything i said. ;)

Hmmm, well budget gaming in a small form factor would be an A8 or A8 + Radeon Discrete Crossfired. That would be sub $500 area.

Might want to check if that 560 would even fit in the case you have in mind. If it does then you can go a little more power in the CPU area. At 600-700 mark, might be able to go an i5 if you plan it carefully enough. I would consider going more than 4GB of RAM.

heres the website the shows the specs of the case to show what im working with. it can easily handle 5 hdds let alone 7. just doing 5 so i can fit a 300mm card inside the case. and i already stated before that i would be using 2 4gb sticks

2 corsairs 4gb ram-$44.99
Zotac (ZT-50301-10M)- $234
ASUS E45M1-I Deluxe AMD E-450- $188
and if i were to upgrade to an amd a6- 115
