I recently bought a new power supply (1275 watts) and an Nvidia GTX Titan 6gb (around 3 weeks ago) and I have an i7 3770 cpu, now I was thinking since I already updated my power supply and vga, why not just go all the way and change the motherboard and the cpu, too.I was thinking of Asus sabertooth z97 Mark 1 as my motherboard and an intel i7 4790K, keeping in mind that I have a 1275 watts powersupply and a GTX Titan, so i'm not sure if the power supply will be enough.
PC:
-Asus sabertooth z97 Mark 1
-Intel i7-4790K
-GTX Titan
16GB RAM(Might upgrade to 32 GB)
-Creative Labs SoundBlaster X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Pro PCIe Sound Card
-1275 watts
Will these parts be fully compatible and run with no issues? And if you have any advices on what other parts I can get to replace those in the list, for example if you have in mind a better z97 motherboard or a better sound card, cause I think the i7-4790k is pretty neat and I'll stick to it, thanks in advance!

I don't see why not and the powersupply will be fine. However why do you need 32Gb of ram? 16 is MORE than enough.

Whilst I run on board sound at present I am a BIG creative fan so would recommend them.

I think you'll find 16GB is more than enough RAM, I barely get through 40-50% tops of 8Gb

Your choice of PSU is ridiculous when my setup is compared with yours which is quite similar. Are you using a lot of hard drives? Like more than 4 or 5? Overclocking perhaps?

by ridiculous I'm guessing you mean that 1275 is too much?I'm using 2 SSDs ,1 480 GB and 1 TB

By the way,one more thing to ask about, will there be any temp. issues?Air cooling, I'm using a thermaltake level 10 GT case which as around 3-4 fans I think, I always set it on high

get a good aftermarket cooler, or if your budget allows (which it looks like it does) get a nice Corsair Hseries all in one liquid cooler.

Whilst suitable, I wouldn't run with Stock cooler.

I would say your system is a bit overkill in many areas for what you seem to be doing (Not that being overkill is a bad thing, just missing some balance points).

A 1275watt PSU is way more than enough for your system. I run a 1300watt PSU powering 3 overclocked GPU's, and an overclocked CPU on top of a custom LC system so you should be more than fine. I would even advise a smaller one if you are still looking.

I think 32gb of ram is way overkill, I run 16gb and even in all my development and adobe programs and games I never really exceed 16gb (Most of the time I do not even get close).

I like Sabertooth boards, but I feel there are better options for the money.

Much like the other person said I would say 1275W is overkill, there again with my 550W PSU I had to carefully plan when going with that one taking into consideration of my GTX Titan. Generally a 650W PSU is recommended for my overall setup.

32GB of RAM is excessive, but is generally a luxury rather than a performance benefit. Clearly for me I went for luxury with excessive performance being a mere benefit. :D

Overkill lol.. you won't even notice the difference imo.
Your GPU and system in general is beast.

16GB of ram is overkills much less 32.
You won't even use 8 really.
32 is worthless, unless you are doing some insane 3D animation or HD movie rendering/editing.

Your call to upgrade but I'd wait for the next chipset with that build.
Or at least til Devils canyon at the end of this, year for the CPU.
Chipset will be the same.
