Need LOUD speakers

if you can stretch it look into those. I have em and they can light up my 2 floors with music.

I don't really need a 5.1 set. In fact I have no room for a 5.1 set

ok IIRC there is a 2.1 version of that set as well.

2.1 is 2 speakers and a sub. 2.0 is simply just 2 speakers. I have a pair of Cyber Acoustics, they aren't bad.
I'd say any of the CA, Altec, Logitech or the Creatives on this page should be good.

My cousin has a 2.1 Creative set and I was just at his house today. They are LOUD. I'm not sure if they're as loud as you'd like them, but they were quite loud to me. I tend to tone my generic HP speakers down a bit whenever I'm on the computer. Sorry for not being able to give you the exact model.

But what's the sub do exactly? Where would I put it, behind my monitor?

I have a creative set as well, they are louder than my logitechs, but I get better sound out of my logitech set, only my opinion of course

Put it under your desk, its for bass response only

The sub is what put's out most of the bass, and I would put it on the floor underneath your desk for best results.
