Need memory infos

On my Asus M4A785-M I can put up to 1200 O.C DDR2.

Does it means that I have to buy a specific memory that wear the specs and name 1200 O.C. or I have to install a 1066ddr2 and can overclock it to maximum 1200mhz ?

Thx. I would like to boost my little system up on speed and could sell my ddr2-800 to some people around.

The only determining factor is the RAM. If you have 1066 ram that can overclock to 1200, fine. Otherwise you'll want to look for DDR2-1200 ram or find some that is known to be able to overclock that high. 1200mhz DDR2 is expensive and not worth it as it will yeild very little actual performance.

Ok thank you. I have a Crucial Rendition 800 that can overclock to 1000mhz so maybe getting a 1066 set O.C. to 1200 around. Ive read somewhere that the 1200 O.C. is accepted only on one slot so ill have to get a 4 gig one wich is way too much of what I wanna pay Since I dont wanna go with something else than onboard video i know the shared memory clock speed would give a little boost to onboard video. Considering that system will be kept for years to come I wanna get those memory sticks for long time.

Your current RAM has more than enough bandwith for your system. Especially at 1000mhz.

Ok. So ill stick with it and if I go at 1000mhz ill have 500mhz core video and 1000mhz video. It should be sufficient for later.
