since my hdd is dying i need a new drive, but my main purpose is gaming and saving personal data ( photos etc..)
Budget max. $80 if can be cheaper will be better since im planing on buying a new case and games

How much capacity do you need for your games and pictures? That will tell you if you can use/afford an appropriately sized ssd for your needs.

Sorry , i think 1tb since every game now is like 40 to 60 gb plus all the updates pfffffffffff i was thinking on a ssd but i think will no be enough, and i will end having to erase and install everytime i get a new game.

SSD is fine, but clearly not enough space for your needs. unless you can pony up a couple hundo, you will be using an HDD..

Grab a SSHD imo. Older 1TB SSHD from Seagate for $75. Or their new 1TB FireCuda for $69, both taken from Newegg as example. You'll get best of both worlds for low price.

Well, you can take the notebook version as well (admitedly, I was looking that one, yes). Still, $78 is still within budget.

For that purpose HDD will fit the best. Large capacity SSD's are way too expensive, so take a look at Toshiba P300 2TB HDD. It's very fast and cheap - its price is around 70$. Amazon has it cheaper than newegg: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0151KM4VG/?tag=tec053-21

For the same price he could get Toshiba P300 2TB, which has double the capacity and very similar or even faster read/write speeds.
