So my upcoming build is

Motherboard: ASRock Z370 Extreme4 LGA 1151
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1x16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 (will be extended in future to 32gb)
CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K
GPU: Asus GTX 1070 ROG Strix 8GB OC EDITION GDDR5

What you think guys can I achieve +5ghz no DELID CPU?
And overall thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

5GHz is possible without delid but it is luck of the draw what kinds of results you get on them. Since the 8086K debut, I think the odds of good overclocking 8700K went down. Don't be too hung up on that number anyway, it makes no difference what so ever.

I don't know if buying a single 1x16GB stick is worth doing to potentially upgrade to a full 32 later, you may have difficulty getting the same speeds across non- matched kits.

I have to ask, do you need 32 GB of RAM? What is the purpose of the PC?

If it is for gaming, may I suggest you scrap 32GB plans and try to change that 16GB piece for two 8GB sticks. Running dual channel is preferable.

As he said , if u r a gamer just make it 16 gigs of RAM (8x2) , and get a better GPU with the money u save , maybe a 1070 TI or a 1080.:)

& btw i don't know if that cooler can handle 5 GHz , i'm not an expert in OC'ing , but +5GHz seems 2 high for an air cooler.

Thanks guys, so this upgrade is for gaming and video editing.
Also I'll get second RAM as the same as the previous one with same model.

5 is doable with the right processor and a NHD15/PHTC14PE/ etc.

Benchmark Scores A LOT
what resolution and refresh rate are you using ? I'd get an 8600k and pair it either with rtx 2070 if you can get it at msrp or a gtx 1080 instead of buying 8700k at these prices. You can also sve on the cooler, d15s is a monstrous cooler but it's expensive and quietness oriented, you can get something like thermalright macho 140 direct at half its price, its going to deliver almost the same performance at slightly higher noise level. d15s is a cooler for those that will pay premium for just a couple of decibels less. I'm extremely happy with it, but I wouldn't spend 360 pln on it again when there's macho/true spirit 140mm to get at 200pln.
Also, why not get 2x8 now and pair it with 2x8 later, coffee lake's IMC can easily take 4 sticks at much higher than 3000MHz, unlike ryzen.

Everything seems alright. Altough i would recommend going for NH D15 dual fan cooler and. As for the 5gh OC it's really luck of the draw so keep that in mind
