I'm about to upgrade my current pc, but I'm unsure if I have everything right, I'd just like to know if everything seems good, and I want to make sure everything is compatible.

I will be getting the following parts:

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138130
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103471
Graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102858
Power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339024

I also wanted to make sure that the processor will work out the box with the motherboard since I don't have another AMD processor.

Another thing I wanted to ask to save some money, would my current power supply be enough for that setup? or should I go for the one I listed?

Current Power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182017&cm_re=rp550-_-17-182-017-_-Product

Your current power supply would be fine, but both of those are relatively low on power supply quality. A nice quality 400-500 watt would be nice, anything corsair, silverstone, antec pretty much there are a few others but it's late and those are just off top of my head.

Personally I don't like Biostar, I would go Gigabyte or ASUS for a motherboard
Your PSU will work but its right there on the border. If your plannig later to run two GPU your will need a new PSU

Another personal opinion, I would not buy Hec X PSU ..Corsair only and a 550 would do if you wan to run two cards later.

Again these are personal favorites.

You can check the manufactures web site on the Motherboard to see if its compatible with the CPU they all have CPU support lists.

You shouldn't have any problems finding a Gigabyte Motherboard for less right here on Newegg.

Would you happen to know a good Gigabyte Motherboard within the same price range, and one that will work with the cpu without a bios update?

Check my last post.........But always check the support list at the manufactures web site

Edit: Im not really a AMD guy so you might get some more opinions

Okay, so after looking around a bit, and reading I'm thinking about going with these parts.

Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131368
Power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339024
Graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102858
Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231098
OS: Windows 7 64 bit.

I'm pretty sure everything is compatible, but I could be wrong. I'd also like any input on the Motherboard.

You gonna use the onboard graphics too? I'd get one without onboard graphics if you're using the GFX card anyway.

Second, I don't trust HEC power supplies. Get a decent quality brand.

Last, if you're going to get a new motherboard and new RAM, go DDR3. DDR2 is getting really old really fast and you most likely won't be able to reuse the RAM in a new build if you get DDR2.

Why?

Edit: I'm going to be looking for a different Power supply, could you suggest one that's around $50-$70?

I can't afford 4 gb's of DDR3, currently I'm using 2gb's of gskill so I'm going to get 2 more since I'm getting Win7 64bit, and from what I read it's not that big of a increase in performance.

Well onboard gfx eat a small bit of extra power and motherboards without onboard gfx might be cheaper.

quick choice off of newegg:

Ah, then that's fine. It's not about performance as much as it is about a little future-proofing your stuff.

The video card recommendation, XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 that is the same price $169.00 including free shipping and lifetime warranty vs Sapphire 2 years warranty. ;)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447

The motherboard recommendation GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P $94.99 after $15.00 mail-in rebate. Long term superior motherboard, performance and feature vise superior including AM3 socket and AMD 790 chipset, best option. ;)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128378

The difference performance wise DDR2 - DDR3 is not much but longevity wise it is not cost effective long term to go to DDR2 because it is a old socket system AM2+. Just sell your DDR2 and get 2Gb DDR3 now and another 2Gb DDR3 some time in the future. ;)

IMHO you can not go wrong with Gigabyte's current lineup. Great quality stuff.
