Hey boys, long time no post haha, this is my first time popping up in months and months, namely becuase I moved to paris and I rarely game nowadays but I happened to be gaming tonight (got me some farcry 3 action) and my faithful GTX570 blew out, smoke and all, seems to be on the GPU side of the board opposite the chil voltage regulator... I guess it didn't like my overclock after all.
My system specs are exactly as they read still, the rig hasn't changed in around a year becuase for the first time in years I was so happy with it nothing needed upgrading,, well this has forced my hand and I'd like to stick with Nvidia but not gigabyte anymore.. not after this.
I used to swear by the winforce ultra durable cards until now..
So I need some reccomendations of a replacement, and if I have to spend hundreds to replace it anyway I'd rather upgrade instead of sidegrade so I need some input.
is the 660Ti a worthy upgrade?
I really liked the look of the Asus GTX670 TOP when it came out, seems like a cool running card with GTX680 odd performance,,
or is it worth the extra coin for a reference GTX680?
two slot maximum because of the Mini ITX case.. k go and thanks in advance trusty TPU!
