How did the BIOS chip get damaged? How do you know it's physically damaged?

Physically damaged when removed. I just cracked, although I Rose's alloy with it. I wanted to take it off to count the dump for repair of the same video card

Count what dump? The BIOS chip will be on the main mobo, so how does that relate to the graphics card?

Your bios chip is i believe the 8 pin with the dot that is oriented to the right of the die when facing it so you can read the die.

Ok, so it's the video bios, makes sense now. There probably isn't a BIOS in the TPU BIOS collection for a laptop graphics card, so I don't know where you'd get new firmware for it. :ohwell:

Even if you could, you may have to program the chip using a dedicated programmer anyway before you solder it back on.

How much would it cost for a new card if you can't get this one going?

There is not a vga bios for the HD7650A in our bios collection.

I found a link where they are selling gpus though.

Heres another.

I have that GPU also. I can probably GPU-Z my bios to TPU database if necessary! Radeon HD 7650A VGA bios has been added to TPU database!

Device ID # is 1002 6751-1462 2681.
Go ahead and upload it. Surprised a msi board worked in a hp, i guess the whitelist allowed it.

Me either. I submitted it and the database page with download appeared and I closed it. I can't find the download now myself! Will redo after storm passes.

I looked in unverified and scrolled nearly all the way down until Radeon ...
It's easy to miss as there's only the one listed
