The Beamdog team is very excited to announce the return of a classic! Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition will be available for pre-order on Beamdog on November 21 at 12pm PST and will be coming soon to Steam. On November 21, we will begin inviting pre-order owners into a Head Start program, allowing players to try an early version of the game, import modules, and prepare persistent world servers.

We are incredibly proud of the work the team has done so far on Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition, and with the community's feedback, we will continue fixing bugs and adding features for launch. We've added an improved display that looks great on modern 4k monitors, UI elements now adjust in size based on chosen resolution, and post-processing effects make for crisper, cleaner visuals. Save games, modules, and mods from the original Neverwinter Nights work in the Enhanced Edition.

Remastered = new word for bug fixing and game updates that should have been done so very long ago.

Too bad they aren't porting it to the NWN2 engine and fixing and improving performance of that. I would've likely set aside my dislike of Beamdog and bought it.

Sadly true most of the time.

Doesn't look that much "remastered". The textures and polygons looks like this is a remaster for a 3DFx card... :D

nop
diamond edition includes official expansions, rest is just beamdog cash grab
https://www.gog.com/game/neverwinter_nights_diamond_edition see description
Infinite Dungeons, Pirates of the Sword Coast, and Wyvern Crown of Cormyr were premium modules (DLC modules) that required authentication from a now dead server. Kingmaker, Shadow Guard, and Witch's Wake got a standalone release and were also included with NWN Diamond. The soundtracks do contain about an hour and a half of previously unavailable music, provided it's better quality than the game files. The last DLC looks to be nothing more than a portrait pack.

The premium modules have been freely available from Neverwinter Vault for a couple years now. Who knows if they'll stay that way after the re-release. Cancelled premium modules are also available. Comments seem to indicate that the three part module doesn't conclude but the other two do.

I'd like to assume that the DLC listed will be included for free. Selling them separately would be sad when Beamdog is already planning on selling what sounds like little more than a UI mod and PP injection.

On the plus side, maybe AMD and Nvidia will fix the driver issues with the game because of the re-release.

They cost money originally, $10, $10, and $12 respectively. Bioware never did much in the way of advertising them.

I like their remastered games (BG & BG2), but it'd be much better if they use NWN2's engine. They already did it for the Baldur's Gate series, so why not NWN?

A. it wouldnt be cost effective vs gains from the results.
B. you dont replace the lumber in a completely rotted house.
C. man hours vs the quick cash grab= the even quicker cash grab wins.
