Hey I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get my hands on the new 2060 mobile cards vbios either the 90w or 115w.

I heard it wasn't possible to flash the new bios on an older model but was hoping it wasn't the case. If you have any information about the vbios flash or have the vbios for these new 2060 mobiles please let me know. I have a laptop with the older 80w tdp but have a lot of cooling headroom and Samsung gddr6 which if flashing is possible should help I hope.

I don't know if it's cause I'm using my phone but I don't see your dog on your post...

Unless you mean there's nothing to say...
Your GPU Bios does not need to be updated like a driver. Leave it alone if it is working!

It is working fine but I was curious to see if it's possible to flash for extra performance in games.

I don't know if it'll work but it's close to %15 which is quite a lot.

@tarduq if you know what you are doing, and that includes rolling back to your original vbios in case of failure go for it, but as @Caring1 says a vbios is not a driver, and there's countless cases in the history of "but bro what if I put 'X' vbios in my 'Y' model and turn it into a 'Z' that will boost 200% compooter points" that ended in a fubar situation.

I do understand you, believe me, I've got a 2070 max-q (2019 model, not even the refresh or super or whatever, so nobody gives a crap about them anymore) capped at 90w, and knowing that there are manufacturers that push this model up to 115w frustrates me a lot.

You can only hope that through official updates from your manufacturer, you might get an updated vbios.

My suggestion: try to get more of your card with afterburner using the OC scanner, I pushed mine +180mhz stable across the core clock curve.

Graphics Bios for Laptops is a minefield for upgrading
often they include part of the bios within the main motherboard Bios
Lots of Vendors also whitelist.
If you find a Bios be aware you may brick your Device when flashing

You have an RTX. Use the OC scanner feature in Afterburner. MUCH safer.

Not overclocking an RTX card is a sin IMHO. Overclocked my 2070 Mini to +165 Core +1050 Memory and it beat a friend's 2070 Super...

As other people advised, it is risky business to mess with the VBIOS on a laptop. Its something you should only do if you have external GPU, or high tech skills and capable to replace the BIOS chip in case something goes wrong. Limited thermal capability (cooling) is the biggest FPS killer for laptops... doesn't matter what BIOS you have on it.

With that being said, here is the RTX 2060 database:

Thank you I am a little weary with flashing the bios. It also appears no one's uploaded the vbios for the refreshed 2060 mobile so I'll probably just have to wait a few months or so until they're popular...

As mentioned earlier in the thread, thermals are the main reason laptop manufacturers limit power.
Try ThrottleStop or Intel extreme tuning utility to undervolt the CPU and reduce heat allowing the GPU more headroom.
MSI's Afterburner is a good way to give the GPU a slight boost also.

You'll brick your laptop, there's a reason why laptop manufacturers sell lower bin or lower TDP laced parts.
