seems my card is stable 1t 940mhz without going over 60c, It appears stable at 950, but hit 65c, so I'll stick with the 950. The fan was running at 52%, but it the sound of it is not noticeable unless the house is silent....that is rare. The memory shows clean above 1300mzh, but I am only going to run it at 1235 since it doesn't have hs or a way to monitor temps.

With a CPU and GPU over clock I've seen as much as a 40fps increase.

( F.E.A.R 2 , school level first remnant fight )

Personally, the HD5770 is VRAM limited... Crank the core to 900Mhz and ramp the VRAM as high as it can go... Thats your best route on these cards. ATI really messed up on this route by not making something like 192bit GDDR5...

I'll test the difference the ram makes, but on the 3870 it didn't make much. My card is seeming great at 940mhz, still cool enough I don't see a reason to back it down unless I find something that gets it hot. At 890mhz it was running extra cool. Personally, for the price, I can't see where ATI has messed anything up!

Others would disagree with you...

I also tested bottlenecking too and while I can?t link to it in my posts either, I found the 5770 is actually primarily limited by its core, not by its memory, as is commonly accepted.

If they original products shows the reference cooler, you can fxxk them for false advertising.

The one on ewiz didn't have a picture, but the model number was the same as the original cooler one, I checked/confirmed on Newegg. And another thing, I've never seen an egg styled Gigabyte 5770. Whatever, it's not that big of a deal. (That's a lie!)

Edit: Okay I'm going to call. They have a picture up and it's the original cooler.

Just an update, I called and they're going to check the warehouse for me.

Arctic Cooling S1 rev B is possible on a 5750 with a bit of modding.

Warning! This is what some people call ghetto-modding

The tool used is pictured as well.

Currently using a Slipstream running at 800rpm to cool it down.
Hasn't so far exceeded 37C in full-load despite 100mhz core overclock, according to the latest GPU-Z.
I'll probably change the fan to a 500rpm slipstream to make system even quieter.

AC S1 is still probably one of the best GFX coolers ever made.

Yes, but I already had the AC S1 lying around so it really wouldn't have made sense to purchase a new cooler.
Also, I doubt the L2 is as good as the S1.

Sapphire's new Vapor-X cooler

I just bought the Sapphire's new Vapor-X 5770. It's cooler does the job as card runs between 35C and 60C. Nearly completely silent, fan speed never goes above 40%.

hi
i need advice (i long used single evga gtx260 55nm, after i go 2 gtx260 in SLI. thats good for gaming, and selled them.)
but now i have a Sapphire 5750 1gb (i little interested DX11 and 40nm GPU), that's not good for gaming (1680x1050. dirt2, crysis warhead etc..)
and i planned upgrade it to single 5870 or 5770 CF
Which is more powerful ingame? (not a score!!!)
i think 5770 CF is cheaper for me (sapphire 5770 155$ on Newegg)
