After a quick ATTO test I did see dinstinquishably better results for SATA performance for both my Sandisk 128GB SSD and my HSGT 4TB HDD.

Your "not quite true" what was written for? I can find the 785 chipset that your motherboard has in the page I linked to get the new driver I suggested.

"Your not quite true" There is a number of ASROCK 939 motherboards that gets theses updates, this includes this motherboard which I have just bought which has the 750 chipset

http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/939A790GMH/#Specification

& here is my motherboard http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/939A785GMH128M/

See also AMD RAID Chipset Drivers (it's on the same page) it has also been updated to a new version.
