New budget gaming system

Hello folks,

I have a strict budget to adhere to but results to attain.

Those results hopefully being a working gaming system :D

Any help would be appreciated and here's a screenshot of my current build. If you see anything wrong with it please say so :p

How much exactly is your budget?

You do know the sandy bridge CPU's cant overclock, you can only overclock the "K" variants by unlocked multi.

I'm aware of that yes. My absolute upper limit is £600.

For the extra £25 get the 2500K. I realise it's pre-order, but if you can wait ... it'll be worth getting one that's overclockable.

I would grab an i5 760 as its £30 cheaper than the 2500 and £50 cheaper than the K variant, at 4ghz it will outperform the locked 2500.

Below is an example build with that CPU, and this will just about allow you to get an HD 6950 (you can flash to 6970 ;) ) & a better PSU, though I did over stretch the budget by £25
