If you buy the parts separately, it adds up to about £470, so they are actually taxing you almost £100 to overclock it. I personally don't think its worth it, but if you don't like the hassle of choosing the parts and building it, its still not worth it :p

Source the parts yourself, there are plenty of etailers in UK, then assemble and OC it youserlf. Much more satisfying that way.

Lastly, what are you using your computer for? If its games, consider going down one notch and get a i5 760 based system instead.

I'm not sold on those bundled deals, you can select your own components and you'll often get a similar deal pricewise. Enthusiast grade components overclock well anyways and it can be done yourself with ease, it makes little sense paying extra for the OC.

Cheers for the replies guys.

Yep I have built a few systems before. I'm not really worried about the OC charge.

Just wanted to know if it's a good build as in the componates etc

Thanks

Don't pay for the OC; do it yourself.

Over 80 quid for shipping? That sounds like rape as well.

Ah, in that case, that build is a very good starting point. I would swap out the akasa fan with a Scythe Gentle Typhoon though, and that will be just about the only thing I am going to swap out if I were building a i7 system

Thanks Fourstaff, I'll look at that fan you mentioned.
