Ballistix tracers pc8500 1066mhz
Seagate 7200.10 250gb or 320gb.
Sony-nec optaric sata DvD - rw Drive lightscribe.

But im confused to tell u the truth because the phenom is also tempting, i was also thinking of :

Phenom 9550 2.2 ghz
Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe/Wi-Fi
Ballistix tracers pc8500 1066mhz
Same HD
Same Burner

I will use it for online gaming, browsing, i do encode audio/video on occasion and ive recently found a like for FPS :rockout: that i never played much before.
Please dont suggest a Graphics card as my plan is to sell what i currently have after my new gear is up and running for a HD 3870 XT and an aftermarket cooler for cpu, im reusing my case, PSU, and peripherals.

Any comment welcome and i really do need ur help as im totally , i will be making my purchase from scan.co.uk for reference.

Thanks
Gam

well you've got two completely different routes there with dual core and quad core
if you're not a benchmark whore like most of us (me included hehe) I would go phenom quad core as it really does make a difference in overall ease of use and productivity, you may not notice a huge difference going from dual to quad, but I really noticed it when I went from quad back down to dual (if that makes any sense lol...)
plus it's always pretty cool to keep a consistent platform (ie AMD/ATI)

Ok makes sense nflesher:), but can i ask what u mean by " ease of use " like quicker system response ? but yeah i would imagine that a quad make a difference in encoding :).

Thanks

I would go with a Phenom system. Its cheaper and you can use more of that cash on better video card(s).

I rather you get the Intel system. But I would swap the E8200 for E8400. It overclocks to 4 GHz quite easy even on a crappy mobo.
