Since I've built my new computer I get the message 'AMD Software has stopped working', see below.
This happens with the latest, previous and even older versions of the driver. It doesn't seem to have a noticeable impact on the actual installation but surely something is not right? Any ideas?

The update is for an XFX RX580 8GB Black Edition, Windows 10 64bit Home computer.

My windows is currently: 1709/16299.125
I've only done a clean install when offered the option by the driver. I'e not done a DDU, that's new to me, I'll have to do that.
Is there a recommended program for that? This: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx

Edit:
Just done a DDU and loaded on 17.12.2 and it all went fine no warning and it took me to the AMD website to say everything is ok.
However, I am now getting 2-5 second black screens when playing BFBC2 as opposed to the hard crashes I was previously. See here: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/why-does-bfbc2-hard-crash-on-my-new-system.239893/
