not too bad tbh, but couldnt you stretch to a cheap c2d? it would serve you a lot better when oc'd id reccomend a 16mb (edit nm just noticed it has 16mb)cache hdd seagates are the nuts atm, and a 8600gts over the gt is a must :toast:

As for the 8600gts, cash I see is an issue here.

    But isn't a 8600gts just an overclocked 8600gt anyways?
Or was it a 8600gs is an underclocked 8600gt?

You are going to want a higher output psu for any overclocking whatsoever. In a few days I'll be selling my 3 month old hiper 580w...

Just curious, why the wireless card? If you play games online and are using that card to connect, you need to re-think a cheap wireless card is bad news for games...

I would get the cheaper Sony/NEC DVD drive also they are a good drive I have 5 of them myself, I have had nothing but bad luck with Asus optical drives for the last 5 years.

agreed on the sony nec dvd drive, except get the SATA one, I have it and love it, no huge cables
as for HDD, get this one instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148262
as for video card, get a 7600GT or X1650XT unless you MUST be able to play DX10 games
as for cpu, get one of the windsor X2s

On a optical drive sata's only advantage is cabling.
Hard drive is preference on brand, WD is a faster drive slightly in tests.

    Finally a 8600GT destroys a 7600GT and a 1650xt.

Something I noticed there is a combo deal with your processor and a 250gig Seagate drive probably well worth it.
