hi guys, ive been planning a high spec build for a while but funds/free time and the girlfriend have pursuaded me to spend less and opt for a budget gaming pc instead which im also gonna use for 3ds max, photoshop etc.
I ordered the build from one of those custom pc build type companies and it should be coming in the next couple of days. I did really want to geek around for a couple of weeks with some nice high end parts (with all pain and frustration that entails!) but i guess that will have to wait till my next proper new build in a year or two
Anyway i just wanted to quickly run the specs by you to see what you think of the parts their supplying etc...so:
CPU: e7300 - cheap and chearful but i hear it can still do a decent overclock to at least 3.5ghz?
MOBO: Asus P5Q Pro P45
RAM: 8 gig Corsair DDR2 800mhz XMS
GPU: ati 4850 - i think its an asus one
PSU 650W Thermaltake Toughpower - not sure about this one, any ideas how good it is, was always planning for a corsair 750w or something. will 650w be enough for 4850 crossfire if i go down that route in half year or so?
Also the only cpu cooler apart from stock they had was the Thermaltake Golden Orb II? any ideas if this is really any good for overclocking or will i be changing it for a thermalright true 120 in the near future?
Case: Antec 900
OS: vista ultimate 64bit - already own
Moniter: 22" LG
Any quick comments/ suggestions would be really helpfull, knowing me, ill prob change half the stuff soon down the line and end up paying far more than if id gone complete self build high end!
cheers
