So after a lot of searching and asking questions here on this forum i finally built my first system....i have always tinkered with my old HP and Dell Macines but never attempted a complete build like this so i was a bit slow at first in figuring out what i was going to do....so far it has turned out well...

Specs
Cooler Master HAF 932 Case
ASUS M4A79 Deluxe MOBO
AMD Penom 2 X4 940 Processor
8Gb OCZ Gold 1066 Ram(running at 800)
2-HIS Radeon 4870HD 512mb DDR5 Cards Running in Crossfire X

Samsung DVD multi writer with lightscribe
Ultra all in one card reader/Floppy drive
NZXT Sentry Dual Bay fan controller
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Crossfire edition
Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler
ASUS MK241H 24" Monitor

Still have 2 more WD640AAKS HDD which are to be added shortly to set up a RAID 10 configuration

so far its got about 5-6 hours run time on it and i havent done much with it but i am pleased...and i think it just plain looks WICKED....i dont wanna put the side panel on....LOL....

PICS

For those wondering how tall the V8 is here is a ruler thats touching the board....damn this thing is big.....

First 3DMark

First Furmark

First OpenGL For Test

I dont really know much about the scores so any input there would be helpful....i am learning fast and have become a bit addicted...LOL....:rockout::rockout:

That case is a dream to work with, I finally did a leak test and put back the front panel hardware last night. Mobo is still running in my old case, hope to have it up running in the HAF this weekend.

Seeing it with a motherboard makes you appreciate how much space the thing really has.

Nice clean build and color scheme. Is the PSU custom painted?

Like the fan at the bottom... I modded my old case to do the same thing :toast:

The PSU is factory Painted RED....i was going to go with an OCZ 700W Modular supply that was black but then My Local Microcenter had these on sale with a Rebate so i grabbed this...I love the color as well....only thing i wish is that it was modular....the thing is like a wiring octopus....i rig boats for a living so i am used to lots of wires but man theres alot to fit behind the side panel...thank god for that area hiding some of my messLOL....one of these days i am gonna disassemble the whole thing and paint it black inside and redo the cables on the backside....

yes the HAF has alot of room but it looks soo nice when its all together....

the red fan at the bottom was a last minute thing...saw them on a peg at Microcenter and said HMMMM..i wonder how that would look...so far i am pleased....

Yea, I won't even buy a PSU unless it's modular - that case hides the mess well, a good 3/4" gap there.

one of these days i am gonna disassemble the whole thing and paint it black inside and redo the cables on the backside....

Same thing here, I was procrastinating about putting it back together because of that, but decided I'd leave it alone. Was even thinking of going to the body shop down the street and see if they'd take it on.

Congrats, that's a rude boy build.

How did you get the wiring so tidy. I thought my wiring was ok-ish, until I have just seen yours.

I don't know much about your heatsink, but if it cools half as well as it looks, then your system will be really cool.

Yeah the Gap is big back there....i used most of it LOL.....

Same thing here, I was procrastinating about putting it back together because of that, but decided I'd leave it alone. Was even thinking of going to the body shop down the street and see if they'd take it on.

Luckily for me i used to be a painter at an auto body shop years back and have an uncle that owns a body shop around the block from my house that i can use any time....when i do paint it i can guarantee it wil be BAD AZZZ.....

im jealous! I want to build my AM3 now! Very nicely done! That V8 is F'N HUGE!
Thanks......Build up man...LOL...

that's your first build? holy shit at that cable management. I consider myself experianced and I have decent cable management but nothing like that. then again I don't have an uber case... well either way great job.

Thanks alot...i did put in some time on it though....my wiring experience comes from rigging hundreds and hundreds of Boat dashboards and bilges....i do alot of offshore performance boats and the dashes need to be tight so i guess that helps...oh and i am really anal about neatness....

i wil admit that i cut and spliced a few fan wires to lengthen them where needed and i pirated an old PSU to make some adapters so i could get what i wanted....

bah, these pics were meant as close-up pics and not really a good example of my cable magagement. Ah well, I work with what I got

still looks good man...dont sell yourself short...i have discovered that building these things and doing so extremely neat is NOT EASY....

Looks top notch!

You should post this in the Case Gallery section.

Thanks....Will do shortly...

Thanks....it started out as being a mild first build and then it kinda snowballed....
