okay guys, since the CM690II wont be arriving for another 2 months :banghead: damn shitty suppliers,

then i need your help on deciding on which case i should take until i can get it.

right now i'm thinking of these 2,

1. the Lian Li PCV1100 black

i know lian li is all superb quality and all that, they can both be mine for around 100$

or the Fractal Design Black pearl

dont know what to take or not, so tell me your opinion about them both..

thx:rockout:

Never heard of the Fractal, but the Lian Li build quality is great. It would help to know what you plan to put in it, though. The Fractal may be best if you plan on putting in a ton of 3.5" HDD's. The Lian Li may be best if you need more than two 5.25" devices.

The Fractal looks to have nice cable management. Will the Lian Li's psuedo-BTX design be an issue for where you want to store the case? My ATX case is on the right side of my desk, and if I put in a psuedo-BTX like the Lian Li, I would not be able to pop the side panel off and access the stuff inside easily.

fractal is also pretty new to me, heard of them about a month ago or so, the lian li is very nice, but i dont like the CM options in it? + it will not fit a big psu if i want to put that in it some day, the HD cage is in the way in the bottom, it will be standing on my desk, turning either way i really dont care, and the HW that will be going in it is the one in my sig.
the Fractal has very nice CM options imo? ALOT of room for HD's, i dont use a optical drive anyways, so that is one + on that, and then it looks pretty decent,

The fractal makes me think of what a Corsair 800D would look like in midtower form.

haha yeah somehow with the inside of it? i like the CM options of it very much and the ton of HD space

I'd paint the lian li interior though. I hate steel ;) I also like the way its upside down, it looks kind of weird but it stands out from the crowd.

Out of topic, can anybody tell me what EXACT graphics card is that in the second case?

I think it's a non-referance, cheaper to make GTS 250 or GTX 200 series card. Does anyone know what that black card is?

That Fractal looks great. Definitely a fan.

I think it's a non-referance, cheaper to make GTS 250 or GTX 200 series card. Does anyone know what that black card is?

I am fairly certain that is an XFX GTS 250. The black bracket, green DVI ports, non reference cooler, and a single PCIe are pretty good clues.

Lian Li makes some other designs that might fit you better then.

I'd paint the lian li interior though. I hate steel ;) I also like the way its upside down, it looks kind of weird but it stands out from the crowd.

The Fractal case looks to have better cable management. The Lian Li case has really bright wires inside it though so that makes it difficult to tell really. If I had to choose one, I'd take the Fractal. it looks really nice and CLEAN!

Wait for the 690II even if it means running your rig on a plank of wood just wait! I really like the 690II and I can only imagine it's half the price of the Lian Li.

Good case, but CM 690 Advance II still better than that.

Good case, but CM 690 Advance II still better than that.

Look lian li dosnt look like a gaming case like a cm690 II, but lian-li is brushed illuminum, sleek, easy to hand, and are so well built that you can stand ontop of one, and it wouldnt break.

Lian li is only a quality people can enjoy when they have a case RIGHT infront of them, the pictures never say that much about a lian-li case, and id put my hands down to say id rather use that then a cooler master 690II case.

Between those two, I'd definitely get the Fractal. Looks a lot better for cable management than the other, has tons of drive bays, and is very smexy to boot.

:twitch::shadedshu Do with it what you must. I didnt like the brushed aluminum interior at first either, but if you clean it up durring the build to rid it of the fingerprints, it didnt take long to grow on me. If Corsair hadn't made this chassis, I would still be using a Lian Li myself (as-is;) ).

just typical BOXY case....
