    Just a though but you might check to see if either of those kits are on the qualified list of ram. It doesn't mean if it is not that it will not work, just that if one is and the other is not that the one that is has a better chance of working out of the box without any fuss.

    other then newegg having them listed as for the X79. they are not listed with evga or Gskill.
