I just got a xeon E3110 an hour ago and i could do with some tips for my bios settings.
My current settings:
multiplier 8x
FSB 500
Vcore 1.4v
Idle temps: cpu 47
Core0: 41
Core1: 40
(speedstep enabled)
Load temps
(vcore drops to 1.32)
CPU: 72
Core0: 59
Core1: 61/2

This hasn't been tested 24/7 on load just 5 mins and isn't crashing. If i set the voltage any lower windows doesn't load - "Kernel not found"

I could do with some tips about what to tweak. I can't remember the base voltage of the xeon but i believe 1.4v is ok right? (it hasn't blown up yet)
I know i need to get a bigger HSF but i'm going to attach another 90mm fan and lapp the cpu tomorrow or sometime this week so it should drops the temps I'm hoping by 5degrees)
Strange this is that the cpu temp is higher than the core temp! on my E2180 it was the other way round and i managed to get 3.4ghz stable.

I'm at 4ghz now but i really want to get it upto at least 4.4.

I have no NB Voltage settings.

Can anyone give me some tips on what to try (this chip is the same as the E8400 btw)

--UPDATE--

Ok, i figured out one error, it seems my mobo doesn;t handle fsbs over 500 too well (the limit seems to be 520fsb (not bad for a G33).
Im currently doing 9x475@1.4v - seems ok
