any one knows if there are any problems using new ethenet adapters (i340 & up generation and other manufacturers) on old pci 1.1and 2.0 computers? windows installs it correctly and works but some programs make strange thing like ping pikes and other vpn issues

just curiosity.

PCI bandwidth increases/revisions shouldn't effect ethernet adapter perfomance.

Is there any brand specifically, or are you referencing server grade Intel adapters?
