At least all of the fans are fully functional and so are the LED's I will just need to find a good solution to power my fan LED's now.
I bought 9 140 Cougar CFD140's for my huge external rad, I bought my parts from FrozenCPU if anything they may have a solution for powering the LED's only and separately. I would look under the cables or the custom power strip adapter bricks.

You have me, sort of, confused with this statement... as, the LEDs are power by the same lead as the fan. So, whatever 12V supply you plug it into will power the LEDs
The fans should have come with a loop on the two wire led connector that activates the LEDs.
The extension two wire cable is for connection to the Bitfenix (or compatiable case), the Bitfenix controller, and (I am assuming on this) a remote on/off switch.

Quote from OverclockersClub review of the fans:
There is a 2-pin plug hanging off of the fan that is jumpered out of the box; this is the 2-pin plug that allows the toggling of the red LEDs on the fan itself.

You can see the looped jumper in these pics:

I am now using the loop. I read about it last night. But the leds are not very bright. Would something like the nzxt sentry 3 work to control the leds? I'm pretty sure it will along with controlling fans.

he wires it backwards and blames the manufacturer I love these kids RTFM or just read the dam connector ffs you gotta be smarter then the appliance
just be thankfully you didn't blow up a PSU or blow the headers off the motherboard could have quite easily been a 200.00 dollar motherboard and psu vs a 20.00 dollar fan

Read all the posts and you would understand what the problem actually was. They include a cable only meant to be used with their own specific cases but do not mention this on the box or anything that comes with the fans. You have to look up on their website to find out about the cable. When I have a fan a molex adapter and a cable that looks like a 2 plug extension cable. Without instructions I'm not going to assume it's made for their cases only. I'm going to assume they are all meant to work in conjunction with each other. Why would they not specifically label it so the user knows....?

New fans always produce an odor. Goes away within a few weeks. It's the cleaning solvents burning off. And new plastic heating up... always gives off a smell for awhile.
