why not the Ikari? yes im a SteelSeries fan girl but you gotta be a fan for a good reason! lol

True, but the fact SteelSeries makes good headsets/headphones doesnt mean they must have great mouses, because their mousepads are disaster.

from what i know about them, at least related to mouses/mousepads, they should stick to products like this: http://www.steelseries.com/int/products/surfaces/iron.lady.qck/information
(something what my girlfriend would buy xD )

Don't know if it's been posted (Don't feel like reading) but the Mamba is by far the best wired/wireless mouse I've ever used.

And this coming from an MX Revo -> MS Sidewinder -> Logitech G9 -> Mamba.

Although opinion about Razer is pretty subjective for every one, I mostly agree on that.
5600dpi i a real bliss, but a find all resolutions above 3200 unusable.

+:
The biggest plus for it that mamba doesn't have problems hat g7 had - update frequency in wireless mode is not close to high end mouses, it's identical, and wifi frequency is auto adjustable, so mamba wouldn't interfere with wlan and other devices (i had that problem with g7)
scroll is gaming mouse scroll (g9's one for example isn't - micro-scroll is 4 office use)
others +'s are ones present 4 all razer mouses (fully rubberized, large buttons etc)

-:
what i find negative on any wireless mouse (including mamba) is that it can't have weight system because of battery placement.
because of that, i find it a bit to light. (i got used to 36g of weights)
also, i feel a bit of a lack of control because of symmetrical hump.
(it could be just a matter of habbit, i only played with mamba at my friends pc)
the biggest - caused by either driver bug, or the wifi interfering isn't totally solved, that mouse pointer blinks when u click buttons (in wifi mod) even when u hold mouse perfectly still!

(i found the problem isn't present only on my friends mamba:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gsq2uklG_0M )

conclusion - for me, mamba's features aren't good enough reason to replace my stinger which i find more ergonomic, better weight balanced/customizable, bugs free, and has far lower price (i think there's no mouse of that quality/performance/features for that price).
so, although mamba is far the best gaming wireless mouse, for me stinger is still better gaming mouse in generally.

and this comes from a guy who used:
ms intelly 1.1, 3.0, trust mi7500x, ms wireless laser 5k, logitech mx518, g5, g7, trust gm-4600 and now cyber snipa stinger for a year.

other thing that could have effect on any mouse impression is mousepad.
i use coolermaster dualside mousepad.

dont laugh on that, its not peripheral oriented brand, neither it has seducing name, but its polycarbon/alluminum made mousepad, and its miles beyond any steelseries mousepad.

G9 is a great mouse.

The only thing I wish is that the small grip had the soft feel of the bigger one.

true.
I just said its too bad that it has office mouse scroll instead of gaming mouse scroll.
It's just confusing logitech put micro-scroll technology for their office mouses on gaming mouse.
(g5/g7 had gaming scroll :S )
it seems they wanted g9 to be office and gaming mouse.
that's my only objection to g9.

what are we? A community of Politically Correct forum members??? as far as 'trolling' goes this is my thread so i can post what i like so long as it doesnt break any forum rules.

If you dont understand the meaning of Sarcasm or cant understand when someone is joking OR cant interpret the ' :p ' symbols people use that helps with how people may translate the text they read. then maybe you should go back to reading magazines & novels.

as for you tomba2k youve only just joined 3 days ago so nobody cares what you think.

OMG, I had no plans on posting in this ancient thread, but your statement there Eclipse is wrong.

as for you tomba2k youve only just joined 3 days ago so nobody cares what you think.

In saying nobody cares what he thinks because he just joined TPU, your taking the position of speaking for everyone here. I never asked you to speak for me. I do care about what he has to add to TPU. Sure, I'll give more credit to something said by someone like Fitseries or Solaris7, but I would like to hear what he has to offer aswell.

Welcome to TPU tomba2k, but as erocker said(he is a admin here)

I just want to touch up on this. the batteries in the mouse weigh a 129grams the G9 and G5 weights are much less yes it's a shame weights are not distributed on mice evenly but keep in mind the mouse is designed for high sensitivity gamers and lift is a bad thing. I also have a aluminum mouse pad made by func. the stinger is a great mouse one of the best and there is absolutely nothing wrong with steelseries mouse pads i'm pretty some people complained G5 had tracking issues at high speeds but was fixed in a firmware update I don't know if hes testing these mice out of the box or just a crappy human equation because thousands of people use the G5 and S&S Combo and I have never heard of anybody complaining.

OMG, I had no plans on posting in this ancient thread, but your statement there Eclipse is wrong.

Welcome to TPU tomba2k, but as erocker said(he is a admin here)

you can call me wrong all you like. I dont care :toast::toast: the bottom line is people misinterpret things & despite weather they realise it or not decided to carry on 'greifing' about it.

Im sure. Tomba2k has plenty to offer. but just straight out accusing me of being a troll, for 1 post I dont take kindly to. its not the best way to go about making friends, as they say.
