If you get the same monitor you wont be able to play games in 3d/watch 3d movies using the 680 as the monitor is geared more towards AMD, you can use the monitors 2d-3d converter but its just not the same. Will it work if you get the nvidia glasses/sensor i have no idea there.
But if you OC the 7970 performance in BF3 is alot better, can run mostly Ultra, 2xMSAA.
