I don't know if this is a common situation or not since I generally never inspect my laptops when I purchase them, however....
Recently I purchased a brand new Lenovo laptop for $350 from Best Buy. I had the item shipped to me from a warehouse in Oregon. The laptop arrived today. The box appeared un-opened and even had a sticker saying "Do not open if removed"
So I unboxed the laptop. Upon opening the laptop I noticed some smudges on the screen. So I flashed my flashlight on it. I instantly saw about 2 finger prints, along with some hardened material that appeared to be scratches on the screen. I took my microfiber cloth, wiped down the screen for about 3 minutes and the screen now looks new. The rest of the laptop appears to be blemish free.
So my question is, why did the laptop arrive like this? Should I raise hell and return it, or is this common occurance? Did this happen during assembly of the laptop?
