i played this beta weekend. it is entertaining but not sure if i'm going to buy it.
the puzzle quests add a new aspect of complexity, which i liked

The only thing that is really driving me away from TSW is the fact that it is made by Funcom. Somehow, Funcom manage to screw anything they touch and overhype everything.

I especially liked how they claimed to be the first MMO where players had a skill bar with only a few chosen skills and could swap between builds with few clicks
(because, Guild Wars 1, and probably other similar game even before never existed, of course)

Also, having a cash shop in a game you need to buy + pay subscription for... that's just wrong.

I played a bit during the beta weekend. I thought visually it was pretty cool. I know once it releases it will look better. Combat was fun but that was about it. I doubt I will play it after beta.

I haven't played the game but after watching a 20 minute presentation on it I really didn't feel compelled to buy it and play the betas. I can see Guild Wars 2 taking up any all of my time dedicated to MMOs. At least until Elder Scrolls: Online comes out.
