Go for a 22inch, its soooo much nicer than a 19. Its one of the best decisions i ever made (except now i kinda want a 24inch but theres no room on my desk for one :(). Those extra 2 inches are sooo noticeable.

ok, thanks guys, i think im going to go for my video card now, and get the 22 later when my funds arent so stretched. and possibly even think about getting a 24.

and epic fail about the whole CRT>LCD or vise versa argument. totally not what i was looking for.

another day & another time for that schpeal.

but for now, it has turned into a EVGA OC 8800GTS 512Mb vs HIS IceQ3 Turbo OC HD3870 512Mb thread.

i've looked into it and on paper they seem to be pretty close.

any thoughts?

The thing I mostly don't like with big monitors is the loooong way to move the mouse. LOL
you simply can't move side to side with a single mouse move.

Just need a high dpi mouse, and cranking up the mouse movement in Windows doesn't hurt. A 1600dpi is great for most people. Higher than that might be too twitchy for some. My 2500dpi can go end to end on a dual-monitor desktop in maybe an inch of movement.

I'm using the Logitech MX518 mouse. its very good.
yea, I know it's possible to change the sensitivity but this won't help when you have to do some graphic work and need a fine movements.
but for gaming on a bigscreen - sure the sensitivitymust go up :D

its because they didnt change the bios settings for fan control on some of them, this fan is lower RPM so while it cools better/quieter at high %'s, at the lower %'s it was too slow.

Yes I had that problem I had to keep my fan at 100% 24/7. I would get a 19'' wide screen tho.. I love mine and I wont have to upgrade my card for a looong time.
