Looks good to me. The "Hard Drive" link doesn't seem to be working for me so I can't comment about that.

Not much to comment, other than that the build you have in mind is what most people will go for. Only thing I would change is the case to CM 690 II Advanced, but that is personal preference. Probably an aftermarket heatsink along the lines of 212+ or similar if you plan to overclock.

He already has a Thermalright Venomous X listed which from what reviews I have seen sites test it with seems to be pretty good.

I really don't see anything wrong with this configuration, it seems real good. The only thing I would do....is wait until Bulldozer is released, which might drive some Sandy Bridge processor prices down. That is if you have time, if not, then just go for it.
The other thing I would MAYBE do is to get a tad stronger power supply for future upgrades. I'd say a good 700w-750w would last you at least 1 upgrade. I just like having the headroom and not having to worry if my PSU can or can't handle a particular configuration.

Yea the Gskills are nice rams, I have the Cas7 1600 kit and they have done 2000 cas9 24/7 am thinking they may be the same ic's. might shoot for 2133 c9 and see how I go.

Oh and OP the build is fine, I see no issues, other than maybe changing the ram, again personal preference.

Oh and a tip, order from one place such as scan, aria or ebuyer other wise your paying 3 sperate shipping fees and items are likely to arrive at different times, sucks having most of your parts for a new build and having to wait for others.

That was back in Jan\Feb. Intel recalled all motherboards and the motherboard OEM's replaced all the bad parts. Even WITH the bad parts, it wasn't exactly a huge performance problem...

not sure what your budget is, just kinda skimmed thru, but i would suggest a gigabyte z68x-ud3r. just put it together yesterday with an 2600k, and im at 5.2 with no sweat, great overclocking board. again didnt read all, so i don't even know if your going to oc. but i'm very happy with my new setup, went from an 860 at 3.9 to a 2600k at 5.2 stable.

Did you check your items with other sellers? aria.co.uk is OK,but scan.co.uk is far from offering best deals AFAIK...check overclockers.co.uk,I had few bad experiences with them,though I still purchase from them cos they have often great deals.
