New Quantum Force Motherboard Breaks 3DMark06 Record in Early Testing

Early testing of the latest Quantum Force motherboard, due for release in 2008, has achieved staggering 3DMark06 scores for the mid-range Radeon HD3870 cards and produced stable overclocks of 6080MHz for the latest Intel processors. With a score of 28,313 the test has produced one of the highest 3DMark06 scores of all time, and a new world record using the mid-range HD3870 graphics cards. In separate tests, Foxconn engineers easily overclocked an Intel QX9770 Core 2 Extreme processor to 6GHz, running it stably using LN2 cooling. As a result of the latest tests, engineers are "extremely confident" about the overclocking headroom and stability the forthcoming motherboard will afford enthusiasts.

Looks like it's under 6GHz for the benchmark screenie. Having a small image on their website is not a good idea for somethign with that much info on it.

5596.2 on the cpu >QX9650< (bus 447.5 x 12.5multi = 5593.75)

1215core 1278mem on the video Asus EAHO870 ?

895.7 on the ram (fsb:dram 1:2, so.. 447.5x2=895)

This post makes it seem like the motherboard achieved these high scores. Was it the actual motherboard that caused the score, or was it the overclocking of the cpu and gpus?

Probably an internal Foxconn board, looks like an intel chipset.

Thats due to nvidia chipset motherboards not being able to successfully overclock quad core processors as well as well as intel chipset ones. And since you can't run SLI on an Intel chipset, that leaves only the ATI offerings and crossfire.

Thats due to nvidia chipset motherboards not being able to successfully overclock quad core processors as well as well as intel chipset ones. And since you can't run SLI on an Intel chipset, that leaves only the ATI offerings and crossfire.

and nVidia without being able to use their "optimizations" in 3m06 like they pump out for their TWIMTBP licensed games . . .
