Well, It wouldnt be a stalker game if it wasnt delayed for a few years...

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl (formerly named 'Oblivion Lost') was supposedly a 2003 release that didnt get released till 2007. Its tradition that Stalker 2 gets some pretty long delays.

The Jury could still be out to see if they'll pull a 2077. GSC could have delayed the game to refine it some more but it could still be complete ass on release day - A lot of publishers pulling moves like this these days and GSC might not have given the players reason to doubt them. But then again nobody doubted CDPR when it came to 2077 and look what happened to them. 2077 has been out for more than a year and they are still trying to fix the damn game.

I remember reading about STALKER in a magazine in 2003. The game came out in 2006 iirc. So we can expect such delays from the devs. April 2026 sounds like a good year for it to be released

DX10 never really made it to mainstream mind you. There were a few high profile games that had support but i dont think many publishers cared.

It will be UE5 instead of the X-Ray engine and tonnes of people know how to use UE so its not going to be a EA & Frostbite situation.
