New phones, such as the Phillips VOIP841, completely eliminate the computer from the process of calling someone using the Skype service. Now, all you need to do is plug the phone into an internet connection via ethernet, and you can use the Skype service. The Phillips VOIP841 is expected to launch in time for Christmas, and Phillips hasn't said what the device will cost. There are also Skype compatible phones available from Panasonic and Logitech.

I like the technique of plugging it in to the ethernet port, it's both skype and people (such as in your town, states ect), not just skype right?
