Hello everyone,

I'm going to build my first Gaming desktop and of course I'm kinda scared. If someone could help me it would be awesome. Some tutorial or video, anything that can help. I have the technical knowledge needed but not the experience since my area is software XD

These are the specs (already ordered):

(Case) NZXT Phantom Full Tower
(CPU) Intel 3rd Gen. Core i7 3770k
(CPU Liq. Cooler) Corsair Hydro H80
(Main HDD) Seagate 1TB
(MOBO) ASUS P8Z77-V Pro
(RAM) Corsair Vengance 16GB DDR3-1866MHz
(PSU) Corsair TX850 V2
(CPU Paste) Thermaltake
(Optical) ASUS Blu-Ray
(GPU) Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 Windforce 3X (maybe SLI in the future)

My biggest concern is how to connect the PSU to the MOBO and its components (e.g. GPU). Which PSU connectors should I use, which not, etc.

Thanks for the help guys :)

The manuals/instructions included are more than enough to help you. That's why they're included with the things you bought in the first place. :p

Yeah, like entropy said, the motherboard comes with instructions for hooking up everything to it. The plugs are made so they can only be plugged into where they are suppose to be plugged into. Take your time, read the instructions carefully, look at what your doing before you do it. You do that, you'll be ok.

BTW, if you have any questions while assembling your computer, take a break and post your question here. We'll be more than glad to answer your questions.

Agreed with everyone above. When I built my first computer, I relied on the motherboard manual and some common sense. With stuff like the liquid cooling, yes my first build ever I put a custom loop through, you can read or ask around.

Good luck. Reading it and doing it yourself is always rewarding.
