New to full Fibre.

Hi I have just transferred from talktalk gfast 150mbps Fibre to the cabinet to Truefast 600mbps Fibre to the house. The seed down and up is 600mbps plus but it takes longer than the talktalk to connect to web pages is this normal. The router is a Linksys model SPNMX42.

Have you tested it on speedtest.net or a similar site?

Also are you wired or wireless to your router?

You likely won't or shouldn't notice a difference between the two connection speeds. Only when downloading large files should there be a noticeable difference.

All web pages?

It should not take longer to connect to webpages. That suggests to me the DNS resolver your new ISP uses is causing the delay. You say you "just" switched. What does that mean? If you mean just 1 or 2 days, give it few more days. If a week or more has passed, then consider changing your DNS resolver. The easiest way to do this, IMO, is in your router's admin menu. I prefer this way because then this is the only place you need to make the change. The alternative is to change it on every one of your computers and other connected devices.

I like 1.1.1.1 (see here) but there are others you can try too. For example, Google DNS (8.8.8.8) is very popular - if you don't mind Google (it is safe, but it is Google).

Also if you test on Windows, Mac and so on download the app/application instead of using your browser the application is more better.

Hi thanks for all the advice but I decided to go back to my pervious supplier as there was a lot of individual problems with truespeed and the only advice they could give is to rent me wifi boosters, one was in the lounge 9ft away from the router. regards and thanks again. Alan
