New upgrade for and just for gaming.

Ive been saving money for making an upgrade on my pc and get some boost and smoothness on my gameplay since my good but old fx is holding my fps. So im gonna leave this link here and want to know all your opinions, thanks.
Budget $600 i wont be upgrading for at least 4 years ( just the gpu) so you can take that into consideration too.

It comes with an additional wifi pci card as a plus. Even though ill like ethernet i cant right now ill have to continue using wifi

The review of @cadaveca on that mobo made my mind since he does a great job on his reviews. I can use my cpu cooler too without worries.

I just can't but not to recommend the Ryzen 1600.
More cores more threads and save $150 in the process.
7700k is faster in gaming but once new games start to roll out with little optimization I think 1600 will at least match the 7700k.
And if you want to game and run something else in the background 1600 will have more free resources to deal with.

i know about the price diff, but right now ryzen 5 for more i would like to buy it is a complete no from me.
the only cpu i was looking at was the 1600x and ill have to pair it with a decent cooler for some oc.
Not to mention the ram bus and bios updates. the 1600 looks nice but if i spend $400 in some kit that is gonna save me money but ill have to deal with
time for setting a nice OC and ram bus speed, time i dont have and im not willing to spend on what AMD company had to do before releasing their product.
dont missjudge me i like ryzen , i like what amd did for giving us a nice price/performance but dealing with something i pay $100+ is not my style,

If you like simple i7 is the way to go no doubt. Intel re-releasing the same product over and over and over again makes the platform matured and fun as a senior person.

Purely for gaming, an i7 CPU is overkill. Much better solution would be an i5 7600K with Z270 mobo or Ryzen 5 1600 with B350 mobo...

i5-7600K is more than enough for gaming, streaming, editing etc IMO... without the need of OCing it. i7-7700K or the non-K variant along with RyZen 7 is too much for just a rig specifically build for gaming. Also, picking an overly expensive CPU means you'll have to skimp the board, RAM & VGA card to keep the budget within acceptable range.

Updating the tread guyss!! so i can have new advises,
first i cancel the first buy cuz of personal matters
week later got the same deal but with GRW included (no wifi card instead) bought it it.
But now i have this damn feeling about the I7 being worth or not the sacrifice, while reviews say is damn hot and an aircooler cant hold it in safe temps.
on the otherside tomorrow arrives the package and im gonna receive the am4 bracket for my 212 evo, so is real those damn spikes and hot temps on the i7 , cuz im not
up to buy a new case, AIO etc just for the sake of an i7.
need help and point of views on this matter so i can decide refuse the delivery or not and grab a r5 1600x.
one like this deal and ill save $100 for another upgrade on my pc.

The thing with i7 hot temp is that people but it under 100% load this will not happen in realistic daily usage
if you have a decent air cooler and a good air flow then you should not have any problems.

So about the AMD like few other members said and i agree you will get the best value and performance out of an r5 1600 its a damn fine cpu
just make sure that ur bios is up to date so that you get the best out of our RAM speed because it matters and use the latest chipset divers for Ryzen optimized power plan.

Well, with a delid tool it isn't. I have to admit that I wouldn't risk delidding an i5 or i7 with a razor like I did with my old G3258.

TBH, how many cases people have had when a CPU has broken? I've built countless PCs for about ~15 years, and I've had two broken CPUs. First was DOA Athlon 64 3000+ in 2006 and now this spring my previous G4560 was defective (works only with 1c/2t). Of course it's not wise to delid without testing the CPU, that there isn't any problems like mine.

Of course if someone doesn't want to delid their CPU, that's fine to me.

Seems to me that you already decided to buy an i7 and asked us for the confirmation...
Since your budget and budget of about 95% folks over here is limited, you are literally wasting it, which will result in very expensive CPU whose primary intent isn't gaming.

On your place I would pick Ryzen 5 1600, MSI/Gigabyte/Asus/Asrock B350 motherboard and 16 GB G.Skill/ADATA/Team DDR4 (either 2400 or 2666 MHz). Thus you'll save quite a bit and still have a very powerful machine for both - gaming and multimedia.
