New version of BIOS not recognized by flash tool.

So yeah the title says it all. I can't install the latest BIOS update (7B84v31) for my MSI B350 Tomahawk (Arctic) as it simply doesn't show as a valid file when using the tool (I always update from the BIOS itself).
Never had this problem before with any of the previous versions, so I was wondering if anyone has ran into similar issues and if anything can be done to resolve it...

The previous one (7A34vHI). I hadn't updated for a few months, so when I checked to see what's new there were several newer versions. Naturally I downloaded the latest, but it didn't work, so I checked with all the others, which were all visible and installed the latest among those.
The thing is that I've began getting the occasional BSOD with this particular version - something that was not present at all with the previous ones - and I also noticed that 7B84v31 was released only two days after the one I currently have installed, which smells a lot like a hotfix. Hence why I'd really like to upgrade to it :)

Are you sure you have the right bios? I have an arctic board and always find myself on the wrong page.

If you can, I would suggest resetting the board to factory spec, optimized defaults, restart, download an old bios- downgrade to it then upgrade to latest.

You dont even need usb, put it in the C: drive, enter bios, run live update and it should detect it, at least that's how my Asrock board does.

Well funnily enough that version I couldn't update to is now gone from their page. I guess I'm stuck with the one I have until they come up with something new, cause I don't think rollback is an option.

Correction: it was possible to rollback. I feel really stupid for not trying that earlier, but I could have sworn that after a certain version - maybe from an year ago - you could no longer install older BIOS versions on that mobo...
