Even at lower clocks the rop/shader counts are slightly higher. So even at a lower core clock they help with performance. Also have the little bit extra mem buffer. Overclock yourself if needed but doubt you will need to.

Yes. It's a big difference up to 20% slower also check it's the 1GB version.
for the "good" GTX460 stock the specs are:

336 CUDA cores
core clock 675
shader clock 1350
mem clock 1800
1GB DDR5
mem interface width 256 bit.

there is also a v2 version. Check the full specs here:

Is the one with 192bit mem slower?

Yes it is, but unless your planning on upgrading your monitor, I don't think it will matter much. The GTX460 se is plenty powerful for a 19" 1280 x 1024 resolution monitor.

Ok guys, sorry but I bought HD6850 :)
It runs well on my PSU and even power consumption is lower in burn than the HD4730..
Only a little problem with FAN readings..
I bought the Gigabyte Windforce 2X OC edition. The clocks are good, card it self in idle go from 820/1050 to 100/150, but the readings of fan speed is bit mismatch. It constantly jumps from 2400rpm to 3300, to 5500 and the readings go even for 108,000rpm lol :D
Its same in GPU-Z, MSI Afterburner... Btw card is very quiet :)

So it works on your old PSU?

Why, shouldn't it? :)
Although I think I'm using it on maximum, as I can hear inductors.. :D Still not as loud as it was with HD4730 (god who thought it will be good idea to cripple 4870 performance but let the same power consumption.)

I bet at full load you are hearing CAP whine coming from the PSU. I would suggest changing it soon or you may have to buy alot more than just a new PSU.

How does 4730 and 4870 connect to each other?

What do you mean by connect?

Btw, aren't my Pixel and Texture Fillrate lower than most of 6850s?

I mean they have a different core and 4730 isn't a crippled 4870 core.
