MS chose some people to test the Beta, but obviously someone leaked it (MS maybe lol) so we can all have it early

Im certain its safe because my m8 was an actual tester and this leaked version is the same exact build

This update is out officially on the 11th, there is a good few things done in it like Avatar marketplace, better Netflix and retail game downloads as well as other stuff.

No Facebook, LastFM, Twitter or Sky On Demand (UK & Ireland) in this update. Netflix has more movies and now shows 'HD' for movies that have it as well as other stuff I couldn't give a crap about not being a Yank.

EDIT: Booted up console, updated, then updated again with a bigger update and now it's all done.

Here's that Xbox Live Veteran crap where it shows how long you've been a member, says only 1 for me...

I was watching Invisible Walls on GameTrailers and fuck me, the amount of stuff they have on Netflix, TV shows and all even in HD. Wish I had that, it's fuckin' stupid renting movies on the Video Marketplace because you can't just buy the points you need and I usually need to buy 1,000 points.

You can rate games out of 5 stars, I didn't see any 360 game downloads but they're shite anyway, they won't be released until after the retail version, most likely won't save you much money, take up space and won't be as nice as a retail box. I don't know about you, but I want Modern Warfare 2 on day 1 in a nice box.

I can confirm retail game installs take up less space, Forza 2 was 5.3GB before the update and is now 4.7GB. I won't be able to install a second game on my 20GB (unless it was 2 small games like Left 4 Dead and Guitar Hero III which were like 4.5-5GB) but it leaves more room for DLC. If you have a 120GB that will help you install a few more games.

Its a leaked Beta, but TBH, I think its the final version that will go live on the 11th because once you do the initial update from the USB drive, you have to do a further update from LIVE

Well I bit the bullet and installed it. Finally you can change colours of clothing on at least one item (the one i like anyway )

Seems faster/snappier too, almost like going fom Vista to Win 7, lol.

Ill see about reinstalling my games a bit later, see how much space is saved. I have about 44GB free space atm.

I assume on the 11th there will be a further update to te final which removes the "Xbox Preview" tab anyway.

I hear you man, I have a 20GB, and all I can install is the current game I'm playing most and the rest DLC and a few arcade games. With Forza 2 down to 4.7GB from 5.3GB I have 2GB free, roughly 1.8GB of that will probably go to GTAIV The Ballad Of Gay Tony. Then I'm kinda screwed.
