Hi all,
I'm new to case modding and making my PC look cool. Usually I just stick with the ugly beige box and that's it. But I just got a new tower case with a window, a cool power supply that glows green and has UV cables already. I was thinking about adding some UV LEDs or cathode tubes.

I have read that cathodes could catch fire if the inverter is cheesy. I also have 8 drives running in this case, so I unsure if I would have enough power for a cathode tube(s). I'm not looking to spend alot of money.

So is LED's the way to go? Does the color matter? When I say matter, I mean since my PS has UV green cables, should I go with green LED's or would blue look cool?

sorry for the dumb newbie questions.

hello and welcome!

you have the ultra 500w psu?
you should be okay on power to lights and what not, as long as your vidcard isn't x1900cf or anything.

go here

and put everything in to the best of your knowledge, and see what psu you need

then add some lights and see what it says then :)
and then, as ketxxx says, let's get some pics!! woot!
