Newegg appears to be offloading Intel Compute Stick on their eBay storefront for $79.99 + FS. This is the 2GB memory model that comes with Windows 10.
Limit 5 per customer.

For our WCG crunchers, this thing did pretty alright (foggy guess is 1k or so?). Charges off USB, so it sips power. Can't find any info on it in our forums, but I remember it being pretty good.

It's not an actual Intel Compute Stick, but I have one attached to a little TV for my mother to use as a PC. It handles general web browsing well enough.

It actually got fairly mixed reviews on launch, if I recall correctly. I think it was designed for HTPC, but didn't perform too well.

I think the biggest issues was the one USB port, and the built in Wifi/Bluetooth really sucked if you tried to use the Bluetooth. If you used a bluetooth keyboard/mouse it would cause the wifi speed to drop baddly, and the wifi is already kind of bad.

Its turns an HDMI TV INTO a smart HDMI TV(can use the internet on it), or it is suppose to anyway. How does it come with Windows 10 if it only has 2GB I see 2GB of memory? Or it comes with Windows 10 Disc set?

Is it sufficiently powerful to handle decoding 720p MPEG2-TS? I'd probably have to find USB->Gigabit NIC for it too.

2GB of RAM, 32GB of disk space. That's enough to run Windows 10 (albeit just barely). It seemed decent enough for web browsing.

I didn't do much in the way of media work on mine, but it should be. I'll download Big Buck and test tonight.

Here's what I'm trying to play (recorded by MediaPortal TV Server):
Video: MPEG2 Video 1920x1080 29.97fps [V: mpeg2 main, yuv420p, 1920x1080]
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 384kbps [A: English [eng] (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 384 kb/s)]
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz stereo 96kbps [A: Spanish [spa] (ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 96 kb/s) [visual impaired]]

I'm gonna go with no: "H.265 codec / MPEG TS container – 360p and 720p OK, 1080p video is not really watchable (15 fps), and audio cuts."

MPEG2-TS is WAY heavier than H.265 and some of my recordings are 1080p. If that Atom processor can't decode it on hardware, I would expect single-digit framerates.

Couldn't you add a USB expander, plus a like 32GB jump drive, then all your prifferils?
