Eager to have a look at what all the fuss over Windows 7 is about, I have downloaded a leeked RTM version of Windows 7 via Newsgroups. However, one of the .RAR files was faulty in that because it was split/broke, I ended up not getting the whole 52MB chunk of the rar sequence (it was part04.rar).
However, the Quickpar tool managed to fix it with the 'Scratching' process.
Now normally when I have to do this, there is only one block missing. But in this instance there was a whole .rar file missing. But nonetheless, Quickpar 'repaired' the .rar sequence and I now have an image file of Windows 7.
What I want to know before installing this is whether or not I will have a fully complete and functioning copy of Windows 7 or whether Quickpar has merely pathced over a great big gaping hole (i.e. loss of important data) in order to allow the .rar files to extract its image?
